How Do I get To Naukati Bay?
Access to Prince of Wales Island is by road to the ferry system, you can either catch the Alaska State Ferry in Bellingham, Washington or Prince Rupert, British Columbia. The Alaska State Ferry takes you to Ketchikan, Alaska where you catch the Interisland Ferry to Prince of Wales Island. Prince of Wales Island has an extensive road system of both State and Forest Service. Once on the island it is 60 miles of paved and 10 miles of gravel road to Naukati Bay.

What's on Prince of Wales Island?
Craig and Klawock are communities near each other that have grocery stores, a True Value hardware store/lumber yard, Sporting goods store and more.

What about medical facilities?
The Alicia Roberts Medical Center is a full care facility located in Klawock.

What is there to do?
Sportfishing on the island is fantastic both saltwater and fresh water, crabbing shrimping, clamming. Hiking, hunting. We lead a very subsistence life style and its great!

Weather?
Prince of Wales Island is a rain forest, the climate is much the same as Seattle but just a few degrees colder on the average with a lot more rain. Most of the rain occurs in the fall. Our gardens don't mind too bad and what vegetables don't like all the rain, grow well in our greenhouses. We can get a fair amount of snow in mid winter however, it usually goes away fast.
